Bio
BIOGRAPHY Sammy D. Vaughn III Sammy D. Vaughn III also known as (A.E.) Klypto or better known as Samajesty Starr is the second eldest of five children. Born in Columbus, Georgia but raised in Louisville KY. This is where his passionate pass time of ciphering lyrics would later turn into a full fledge musical career. Following the footprints of his father who was a D.J; Sammy began listening, and mixing, various genres of music with his new found love for hip-hop. Around the tender age of ten he began rapping and performing with a group of his cousins under the name MADDHOUSE, which was formed by his cousin and mentor the late Lamonte Hardcore Silver. Word quickly traveled the streets about the music and Sam was introduced to Robert Hayes aka Black Godfather and joined the then up and coming Winner Take All Entertainment Camp. Where he recorded his first album God Understand Me, under the alias Klypto (Clepto). While the album was never released Sammy wrote and recorded songs on the Nationally Released Soundtrack Winner Take All from the motion picture Winner Take All which premiered on the BET network and gave Sam his introduction to the art form of acting. After learning that soon he would become a father Sam then began strengthening his relationship in his Baptist Christian faith. Still dedicated to the music he began writing, performing and ministering the Gospel with a hip-hop twist under the name Samajesty Starr. Once again word traveled fast and Sam quickly became a hometown favorite performing for over 50 churches and 20 schools in the Greater Louisville area. Writing material for and/or performing for organizations such as Simmons College of Louisville, Future Promotions Professional Boxing @ Expo 5, WAVE TV 3: Dare to Care Food Drive, The Louisville Youth Opportunity Network, WHAS TV :Great Day Live Morning Show, Ms. Neal and the Rockettes Dance Company, Office of Council Woman Judith Greene, Kentucky Cabinet for Domestic Violence, Light Up Louisville and became a regular on Power104.3 with J HAZZ. Sam recently received a Proclamation from Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer, declaring February 10, 2013 Sammy Vaughn Day. After being on tour for a couple years as Samajesty, Sam now feels he has found what he likes to call the balance in music. The Balance is to give all of me without loosing me, says Samajesty Starr. bv Preparing to write his debut hip-hop album Face 2 Face he shut himself off from the outside world for two months. He emerged with the Greater Louisville Anthem Da City, as well as the WHAS Crusade for Children sponsored single, This is For You. One thing Sam takes pride in about his music is its sincere and you can feel the sincerity vibe in the energy behind his lyrics live or on disc. His music defies the categorical laws of genres, his lyrics penetrate the soul of man and raises questions.
